    So no solution so far?

I've bought Astra now. Same problem there...
It really is annoying. The Voice Packs are awesome but the delay i have destroys the feeling somehow

Is it from first command of profile load that this delay is occurring? Do you have your sound files installed to an external device?
      1) I reject your reality.... and substitute my own
      2) Not to be used when upset... will void warranty
      3) Stoke me a clipper i will be back for dinner
      4) Never tell Gangrel to do anything... he will probably get it wrong
WARNING! Swedish wall-of-text hits you for bork-bork-bork damage!

hcs packs and VA plus ED are on the same harddisk. and this harddisk is internal.

From the first command of the profile, I mean "As soon as you start using Voice Attack". Does it happen when ED is *not* running (for example).

I am just trying to see as to where the issue could be

What do you have your audio output type set to? Integrated, Legacy, Windows Media Compontents?

You can check this on the Audio tab of the VA settings

                  try integrated audio

This will be needed for the 2.0 version of singularity as well

So, I think I figured out the issue; it seems to have had something to do with a possibly corrupted binds file; I was having issues editing bindings from within Elite, and finally got fed up with having to edit binds file directly, deleted all the olds binds files, and created a new binds file using the Singularity Editor, set up all my controls, and all of a sudden, no sound delay. Everything is firing off normally, Engineering isn't getting cut off on the FSD exit messages, it's like the problem never happened. Before, my Chief Engineer (Vega, naturally) would get cut off during the line, "Exit destination confirmed. Arrival in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1." at around "2" or "3". Now, he's actually able to get completely through the line. I don't know what the deal was, but it did sort of start around the same time the Chapter 4 beta started, so I'm curious as to whether or not the beta broke the binds file when I was testing some of the new controls and forgot to un-bind them before switching back to the proper game version.

Edit: I think I spoke too soon...it's back again...All I did was shut the game down for a few hours.
