    Ship's assistant Ad-Astra is ready but currently offline (v0.1 beta)

    I've seen this posted and the fix of "Enable Ad-Astra" is working, but I'm having to do that every time, which surprises me because a) I would have tought this was a toggle, not per-session, and b) At no point did I disable it!
    Also, you're excellent at getting things fixed, and the last report I can see for this was over a year ago - is this a new/re-introduced issue?

    Check your VA settings (click the wrench icon in the VA window) -> Load profile on start up

    This should be set to "NONE"

    Restart VA

    Also: there is a (very recently discovered, but been in VA for a while) bug, where if you swap profiles on a regular basis, then when you shut down VA, it will only save the settings of the *currently active* profile, and not other profiles which may have settings yet to be saved.

    There is no work around to force VA to save all the settings at time of shutdown in this case.

    These are the only cases that I can think of where settings for a profile are not being saved correctly.
    1) I reject your reality.... and substitute my own
    2) Not to be used when upset... will void warranty
    3) Stoke me a clipper i will be back for dinner
    4) Never tell Gangrel to do anything... he will probably get it wrong

      It's definitely set to "None" (See attached) and I can't remember the last time I changed profiles - I did once when I logged into Horizons for some reason, but that was a few months back.
      Is there a manual setting that does the same as "Enable Ad-Astra" I can check?

        There is the option in the HCS Customiser (under the AD-ASTRA section) which does this.

        Please note: If you are swapping profiles, then there is an issue in VA itself where at time of shutdown, it only saves the *current* active profile settings to the active profile, instead of *all* changes that were made to their respective profiles.

          Thanks, I'll have a play with the Customiser.

          Latest weirdness:
          Last night - logged on, Ad-Astra was active (Yay!)
          Once in game, I muted VA (Voice commands when watching a movie on screen 2 aren't a good idea!) so a whole session with no interaction from me.
          This morning (just now) I log in - Ad-Astra offline! Without touching any clicky settings or issuing any commands (see above)

          I is confused!
