Doing this for the profiles: Random profile picked on command
You can do the same for pauses as well, where each number picked, the action that happens is a pause of defined duration.
Combine the two, and have it running constantly in an included profile... voila! Loads of randomness, either on command or just at random intervals.
The include option of the profiles is handy, because it means that each profile that includes this "profile switch" and you can flick randomly across them.

Similar to how the profile switch profile is setup, it would require a small bit (just a small amount) of work on your part to work.

You guys have a massive amount to do pre-release, small things like these are just minor matters........
Randomness is always good........
How's about just a random character being summoned to the response "help, has anyone got any ideas?" .......

I am glad to hear that my profile switching idea is getting used...

Now, who would like some *randomness* involved in it?

Guest repliedMany thanks for bringing this to our attention! It's the little things that sometimes get missed when we're doing the 'Headless Chicken Run' on release dayAstra's "Hand over to KSAI" sounds have not yet been added, they'll come with Astra's next update - hoping to get on with that in the coming week.
As for Astra's part in the handover commands, we felt it would fit better for her to introduce each AI personally, just for that little roleplay/AI interaction element. Although I agree a more direct response would be easier to manage! In between new voice pack releases we are looking at updating and cleaning all the other packs, fixing errors, etc. I think your suggestion of a generic handover command is a good one, so we'll try and get it in there!

Incorrect sounds in Profile Switching
Hi all,
I just wanted to give some feedback as something has just occurred to me. After installing my new KSAI voice pack I went to set up the profile switching to point it my various profiles.
The entry to summon KSAI has the sound files to summon Legend to the bridge but it actually does switch to KSAI, so this isn't a bug.
I can even understand how it occurs as the Astra handover sound file is contained in the Astra voice pack. So this will reoccur every time a new voicepack is released unless a parallel update to Astra's sound files is released or included within the new voicepack.
It may be easier for Astra to just say something more generic like "Handing over controls" and the profile being switched gives a response to confirm containing its name.
That way, the problem of Astra sound files is bypassed.Tags: None
