Thinking of getting another voice pack.

Hello, I'm quite new to the voice pack stuff and I bought Verity to match with the ships voice. I'm in love with it so far, it's great!

I'm not thinking of getting another voice pack. When I first decided to get a voice pack I got stuck on Verity or Astra, now I'm stuck between Astra and Orion. I know that Astra comes with "Multi-Crew" profile which sounds super interesting and super usefull and I want to try that so badly... But on the other side we have Willian Shatner which would be super cool to have on the ship.

What are your personal thoughts on the Astra and Orion voice pack? Which one do you prefer when you play alone and feel like you want someone with you?

In terms of conversating, which one is better? I don't mean having a full on conversation with them but general chit chat that will keep you occupied when you are bored and are waiting for something, etc.

Very very much personal choice. When it comes to recommending any pack then we always say Astra as it'll give you so much more in the long run as you add more packs...yes you will

So, buy Astra now and Orion at a later date? I don't think there will be any more packs for me to buy after that.

Vega is also great and he's the only one who has stellar info feature (at least for now) which is nice to have if you explore a lot because that'll keep you like having a real database/encyclopedia at your side
Not to mention that having 2 ST related characters is great

Still, Astra is my favourite voice pack..
Phoenix is great as well if you like male voices. He's short, punctual, straight to business (just like Astra but a bit faster/quicker).

As TheThingIs already said Astra offers the most features and it's basically the flagship of HCS. She's the first one to get updated when any changes are released and she's the only voice pack to have Multicrew profile (not the patch 2.3 feature but the profile for itself which is there for long and allows you to use many voice packs as crew members so each can do some parts/stations of the ship like helm, weapons, info etc).

Astra was my first pack and the one I play the most so you can't go wrong with Astra anyway.
