  • How do we change the keybinds, or get an update for the new 3.10 keybinds?

Several of the most common combat actions have had keybind changes in Star Citizen 3.10 Live Universe. Will there be an update to these voicepacks to support the changes to combat, or is there a way we can somewhat fix this ourselves by editing the keybinds used by the voice commands?

You can edit the ((import binds)) command directly (and then export the command) so that your own custom binds are used. However, we are looking to get an update out around Monday 10th ish for a profile update
    1) I reject your reality.... and substitute my own
    2) Not to be used when upset... will void warranty
    3) Stoke me a clipper i will be back for dinner
    4) Never tell Gangrel to do anything... he will probably get it wrong
WARNING! Swedish wall-of-text hits you for bork-bork-bork damage!

I know you guys are probably beating your heads against your keyboards due to the amount of binds that got changed, but do you have an update?

I have extracted all of the binds in a csv, and them manually added descriptions to make it easy for the next clusterfu... set of big changes.

Happy to provide. Just holler via email.

            Hi TheThingIs

Are you able to communicate any details which are slowing HCS down? I imagine that finding the proper responses from your source audio is one, as targeting has changed drastically. Anything else?

I know I mentioned it earlier, but I want to make sure it's known: I can provide a csv of default mapping in 3.10.1-LIVE straight from the p4k file. If you need it, please hit me up.

I might be missing something, but I updated to the new profile and go to customizer, choose my keybind profile in SC from the keyboard input option in customizer. However, it still doesn't seem to be picking up my binds. For example, "Open Contacts" gives an error that its not bound in game, but it is. This worked just fine until a few days ago. I have default binds for the keyboard, the only different thing I have dual joysticks and use custom binds for those, but don't touch keyboard. I'm not sure if this is impacting anything.

the latest update of SC blanked a lot of binds which were bound before....can you double check that the bind it says is not set is actually set in your custom binds file. If it is and still not picking it up then please send a copy of your binds file to thethingis@theqnn.com and I will see what is going on

After updating, I am still unable to use the commands that had keybinding changes in 3.10. For instance, if say the voice trigger, "Target Nearest Hostile" it recognizes the command, then it gives the following two errors in the program window:

The keyboard bind is missing form the game.
                    This command will not function

                    PLEASE
consider updating the keybinds and possibly adding. changing, or fixing these functions listed below. Star Citizen combat and keybinds have changed for the first time in over 2 years, and now that these changes have been made and persisted a few additional updates (they are not going anywhere or changing soon), I REALLY hope the most important parts can be corrected or added. I love the HCS Voicepacks, but it is not working for one of it's most important uses in Star Citizen... Combat! This is especially true for those with the more advanced flight stick setups, who cannot take hands off the sticks/thrust to type keybinds. Sure, people can make their own commands, but isn't the reason we bought this because it would do these functions and use those awesome voice actor lines when they are executed? I want to recommend this to players in my community, and to new players that join us. But, it starts getting hard to recommend any product when I have to tell them to buy it, install it, then "here a list of stuff I have made that you must import, copy, correct all the keybinds, do this and that, before it will work" for one of the most important uses... combat! It's only a small number of fixes or additions, and no new actor voice lines need to be changed or added! Please fix/add these, so I can proudly use and recommend these Voicepacks with confidence and simplicity!

I am using the default keybinds for these functions in...
KEYBINDINGS âž¡ ADVANCED CONTROLS CUSTOMIZATION + Flight - Target Cycling:
                    • Cycle Lock - Attackers - Forward = 4
                      • This should be use to cycle nearest attacker, or ship that has the player locked.
                      • This is what the voice trigger "[Target; Lock;] Next Attacker" should execute
                    • Cycle Lock - Attackers - Reset to Closest = LALT+4
                      • This automatically target locks the closest "Attacker" that has player ship locked
                      • This is what the voice trigger "[Target; Lock;] [Closest; Nearest] Attacker" should execute
                    • Cycle Lock - Hostiles - Forward = 5
                      • This should be use to cycle to the next Hostile, whether or not is has the player locked
                      • This is what the voice trigger "[Target; Lock;] Next [Hostile; Enemy; Bogey]" should execute
                    • Cycle Lock - Hostiles - Reset to Closest = LALT+5
                      • This should be use to cycle nearest Hostile, whether or not is has the player locked, or ship that has the player locked.
                      • This is what the voice trigger "[Target; Lock;] [Closest; Nearest] [Hostile; Enemy; Bogey]" should execute
KEYBINDINGS âž¡ ADVANCED CONTROLS CUSTOMIZATION + Flight - Targeting:
-NOTE- This is VITAL for multi-crew scenarios, where the commander is pinning targets for turret gunners to lock and engage. Ships like the Hammerhead, Retaliator, Origin 600i, Reclaimer, Starfarer and so many other ships where turrets are the method of attack and defense far more than weapons used by the pilot.
                    • Pin Index 1 - Pin / Unpin Selected Target = LALT+1
                      • This should be used by the Pilot to set Pined Target #1 the currently selected target, to be engaged by the turret operators.
                      • This is what the voice trigger like "[Set ;] [Pin; Pinned] [Hostile; Enemy; Bogey] 1" should execute
                    • Pin Index 2 - Pin / Unpin Selected Target = LALT+2
                      • This should be used by the Pilot to set Pined Target #2 the currently selected target, to be engaged by the turret operators.
                      • This is what the voice trigger like "[Set ;] [Pin; Pinned] [Hostile; Enemy; Bogey] 2" should execute
                    • Pin Index 3 - Pin / Unpin Selected Target = LALT+3
                      • This should be used by the Pilot to set Pined Target #3 the currently selected target, to be engaged by the turret operators.
                      • This is what the voice trigger like "[Set ;] [Pin; Pinned] [Hostile; Enemy; Bogey] 3" should execute
                    • Pin Index 1 - Lock / Unlock Pinned Target = 1
                      • This should be used by the Pilot to TARGET the Pined Target #1 so the Pilot can file missile, which often still is the responsibility of the pilot in a multi-crew scenario in a ship where turrets are the primary or only weapons.
                      • This is what the voice trigger like "[Target; Lock] [Pin; Pinned] [Hostile; Enemy; Bogey] 1" should execute
                    • Pin Index 2 - Lock / Unlock Pinned Target = 2
                      • This should be used by the Pilot to TARGET the Pined Target #2 so the Pilot can file missile, which often still is the responsibility of the pilot in a multi-crew scenario in a ship where turrets are the primary or only weapons.
                      • This is what the voice trigger like "[Target; Lock] [Pin; Pinned] [Hostile; Enemy; Bogey] 2" should execute
                    • Pin Index 3 - Lock / Unlock Pinned Target = 3
                      • This should be used by the Pilot to TARGET the Pined Target #3 so the Pilot can file missile, which often still is the responsibility of the pilot in a multi-crew scenario in a ship where turrets are the primary or only weapons.
                      • This is what the voice trigger like "[Target; Lock] [Pin; Pinned] [Hostile; Enemy; Bogey] 3" should execute
I would be more than happy to "guinea pig" the update, if you would like to have someone install and test it before releasing it?

we can't add missing binds in as then we'd have to tell you what needs adding, it gets messy. So we added a keybind reader which reads in what you have set them to. Go to your control section, add/change any of the binds as you wish and then save it. You then select that control scheme in the keyboard section of the customiser. You can also still edit the ((import binds)) cmd which contains all the default binds. If there are any missing from that cmd then you can add them in yourself or let me know which ones are missing and I'll test them.

Have been trying to find this keybind reader. Where is it exactly and how to get to it. Have the keybinds been added or are we expected to edit it ourselves. I am not overly confident that I would be successful in fixing it. I use the default advanced keyboard settings in game.

they removed bindings from the default ones in the game so you will have to add them back in and save the changes you have made...then open the customiser and in the keyboard section you can tell it which bind file to use. If you don't know what the HCS Customiser is then I'm slowly banging my head on the desk say "protocol override customise my settings" and a menu will pop up allowing you to customise the profile. Please read the manual, it may help

Trying to find a complete HCS Packs User manual is somewhat obscure. One would think that if I look in C:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceAttack\Apps\HCS VoicePack Plugins you would find the complete HCSpack User manual in PDF or even have a PDF download available on the forums. Unless I am looking in the wrong areas, which means it's less intuitive than you think to find it.

I think the manual is on a button in the customiser - just pop it open and should be there..
