HCS HOTAS x56 problem / Ships roles after starting from landingpad....

Hello Cmdr, Hello HCS, everything was fine - till yesterday! "sniff"...and now my ship roles after starting from landingpad....cant use HOTAS anymore...
The basics first: WIN-10 1803, Frontier E-D Horizont (not Steam), Saitek HOTAS X56, VA 1.7 with HCS VoicePacks (see log out of VA):

HCS HOTAS x56 problem - comes again - cant fix it myself! Help!
Had this problem a few month ago: when launch from landingpad ships starts to role and I cant use HOTAS x56
Could change "some keybinds (vertival thrusters)" and it worked, but now I cant fix any... :-(
Checked SAITEK X56 - without HCS: same problem :-(
Switched to HCS keyboard&mouse worked... :-) Aha!
uninstall/reinstall nearly all: HCS*.binds, HOTAS X56, etc.
WIN Device Manager is fine...
Problem still there... :-(

Q.1: any other idea? Seems like HOTAS is f*** up and triggers "something" - but what?
Q.2: is there a spec. keybind that I can adjust do fix the problem with "launch from pad and roling"?
Not related to HCS:
Q.3: does any has/had the same problem with WIN10 1803? Fixes?
Q.4: can/should I clean the HOTAS mechanic cause it triggers "something"..?

Huh, I have the X56 (logitech model) and I haven't noticed this. The only change that i made to the X56 logitech profile (the one that you can mess with out of game) was to set the slider switch to M (hangover from my X52 setup). The rest of the commands I left to set inside Elite Dangerous.

What I would do though is double check the controller setup (Win key, search for Setup USB Game Controller) and from there then choose the X56. I have a feeling that it could just be a slight case of the sensors on the joystick being out of alignment.

Do you mean a) "Mode M1 - M2 - S1 " switch or the b) "B. 2-position Slider" - both are on the throttle! ? (see screenshot)
a) switch: is still on M1 - just switched up and down to check - same problem :-(
b) slider: there is no keybind with it - so no function - moved it forward/back - same problem

Checked DeviceManager again:
X56 is under HUI and Logitech_WinUSB and property "says YES all running"

It worked ALL two days ago. Checked things for VR (coming soon!)...
So I guess it's time for a "clean install" on this pc. No clue what to change and where to look...

I was referring to b, the 2 position slider. I had to assign a keypress to it, because just like you discovered, Elite doesn't pick up on it at all... which is a shame really.

I was not referring to the device manager window, I was referring to



If you look on the Properties tab, you should be able to see something like this:



It was here that you might notice some drift... the two crosses should be in the centre of each box (ie dead centre). If not, then chances are that when you plugged it in, the stick was not dead centre, and this would explain the drift.

Hi Gangrel I O' 'U! Yes Yes Yes!

OK, remeber when I setup the Saitek for the 1st time I had to calibrate all axis....
Found the "Setup USB Game Controller" now in WIN10 by typing "game controller" into search... :-(
And it wasnt "Throttle" messed up... yep, it was axis from the "Stick"...
It's done, it's flying again.... and I O U!!!!!!
