Can't get VA with HCS working in ED

Hiya,
I purchased VA & the HCS Elite Dangerous Voice Packs so I could use voice commands within Elite Dangerous.
Tried out the basics & all worked fine, then decided to get a little more adventurous and remap the keystrokes to suit myself.
Again, having done this all works fine in ED.
Then edited the commands within VA's profile (HCS 1.6.4 _not sure whether I use the Basic or the Full House) and spent the next three days checking that I was happy with the keystrokes and then editing the commands in the VA profile so they matched what I'd set in ED.
The problem I now have, is that if I DON'T start VA and just go into ED everything works fine, Press number "2" and it goes to the Comms Panel, Press number "4" and it goes to the Systems Panel.
OK, start VA and say "Open Comms Panel" VA responds with the "Command Recognised" message comes up, great.
start ED, login, go into the game, press number "2" - it open the Comms Panel, press it again & it closes it - Excellent.
Now SAY "Open Comms Panel" - NOTHING !!!!
Switch screens & there's VA's interface saaying "recognised : Open Comms Panel".
Yet no matter how many times I say it nothing actually happens.

If anyone can please help me figure out where I've been stupid & either done something wrong or else not done something I should have done I would REALLY appreciate it.

The best of my ability, I cannot see what the problem is. This is mainly due to the fact that the PDF of the profile has split all the relevent columns up into several different sections of the PDF file.

Now saying that, it looks like you are using the Beta Full House Profile (it is also known as "VSASC" profile). This is far more liable to "break" if you start altering things without knowing everything exactly.

Does VA work with the *normal* basic profile? or does that also cause issues?

If you want to change any keybinding in VA, then you just need to change the ones in the "Keybindings section". The shortcuts are *not* essential at the start, all these do is to play the relevant sound when you press the keybind as well.

Have you tried saying " Run Diagnostics " as soon as your ED game has loaded with your ship sitting in a space dock? This will reset all your panels to where they need to be and will sometimes fix alot of commands not working properly. It is the first command you should say every time you start ED and are docked. If you start ED and are in space then you can say " Check Systems ".

This will reset all your panels to where they need to be and will sometimes fix alot of commands not working properly. It is the first command you should say every time you start ED and are docked. Ah yes, if you are using the beta profile, you HAVE to do this. Either

[F3] WHEN DOCKED: Reset all systems;Run diagnostics;Check all systems;All systems check;Full diagnostic scan;Initiate diagnostic scan;Prepare all on board systems

[F4] WHEN IN SPACE: Reset Panels;System checks;Check systems;System scan;Check onboard flight systems;Software debugging;Run software debugging;There's a ghost in the machine, hunt it down

F3 and F4 are the default shortcuts used in the profile to make sure that they work.

Fixx & Gangrel, just wanted to thank you both for your suggestions, I said it'd be because I was doing something stupid, I never executed the "Run Diagnostics" command when entering the game. Having run it everything's working fine now, Many, many thanks.

Not a problem.

To be honest, I rarely run with the beta profile myself, so although I can tell that you were using it, I couldn't tell you off the top of my head how to use it "properly".
