Plugin Can't be found, etc - yet it seems to be there - Help?

I screwed up - read somewhere the install process had been automated with HCS- TOOLS thought "Thank All Gods" and bulled ahead, producing aforementioned error
Started reading the forums, and deleted EVERYDAMNTHING but ED itself, emptied recycle, rebooted.
Reinstalled in the fallowing order:
a) VA (using Steam installer) - HCS-Tools not offered. Ran VA, saw error posted , checked installation paths and plugin support (listed correctly)
b) HCS-Tools: installed with no complaints. Ran VA, notice lines in this order i) 5:20:52 PM - Plugin 'HCS Plugin v3.02 - (c) HCS VoicePacks Ltd 2016' initialized.
ii) WARNING the plugin cannot be found, you haven't installed it correctly - but they seem to be present
c) visually confirmed the presence of HCS Tools under *\*\*\VoiceAttack\Sounds (no packs present. though) and HCS VoicePack Plugins dir (including .dll) under *\*\*\VoiceAttack\Apps
d) I have not even attempted f@#king around with EDDI yet
Scratching my head at this point, frankly. Ny thoughts on what I've missed? Is there a plugin-installation routine I've missed?

Did you import the profile that was included in Voice Attack\Sounds\HCSTools\Profiles\<game specific folder>

If you only knew how long I banged my head on the desk over this - a lot longer than I've slept the last couple of days, as evident lol
