Hello - I wonder if I could have some help please?

I've been trying to get the Celeste voice pack to work since Saturday. I followed the guides. Very carefully. First few hours nothing happened.

I spoke to friend who swears by HCS voice packs - we tweaked a few settings and it worked - kind of - some responses but not always.

Now nothing - not altered anything. When I start up voice attack it recognises the singularity profile. I start Elite I can hear Celeste say hello. In cockpit I hear her say systems are all checked etc. Then I immediately hear a beep sound and then nothing. No response. I do notice that on Voice attack I'm getting a 'Too Noisy' triangle. I've altered command weight etc. Logged in and out multiple times. Nothing.

Any help or ideas gratefully received - it's a royal pain in the arse.

    Thanks in advance

    Rich.

What is your audio setup? Generally speaking, if you are getting the "Too Noisy" triangle in the VA window, then that means that the ambient noise around you is drowning everything out. It could be worthwhile setting Voice Attack to only listen when you are holding down a button (keyboard/joystick/mouse/gamepad for example), especially if you have a desktop microphone (Voice Attack settings, Hotkeys tab).

You might also have to enable/disable the Adaptive Recognition and the Echo Acoustic Cancellation in the VA settings (Recognition tab)
    1) I reject your reality.... and substitute my own
    2) Not to be used when upset... will void warranty
    3) Stoke me a clipper i will be back for dinner
    4) Never tell Gangrel to do anything... he will probably get it wrong
WARNING! Swedish wall-of-text hits you for bork-bork-bork damage!

Evening Gangrel - thank you very much for helping.

I had a look around as you suggested and I think I found the issue - you were quite right - it was a voice attack settings issue. The Windows Speech Recognition was set to Realtek rather than Rift (which I am using). I enabled Adaptive Recognition as well.

Thank you - couldn't see the wood for the trees!!
