Issues with Landing Gear, Cargo Scoop, and Exiting Comms

VA always returns a voice command of "retract Landing gear/Cargo Scoop" with "this has already been done" when both things are still deployed. Also when I say "Close Comms" the command that comes out is *VA hits 'Escape' which pauses the game, then clicks down direction twice. I looked around and tried 1) running VA as an admin. 2) completely reinstalling both VA and ASTRA. 3) switching the keybindings of Cargo scoop and landing gear. 4) checking the customizer for keybinding errors.
Can someone help me figure out why these errors occurred and how to fix them?

Sounds like a potentially stuck journal/status file.

Back up the files in your journal location, and then restart VA

How do I do that? {I'm very very new to Elite Dangerous and picked up this stuff to get the full experience.)

Also I have restarted VA before and it did not fix the issue. I am confused as to what to actually do

back up the files located in :

C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous

And then remove all of them.and then start up voice attack

So after doing so I just start up ED and it should be fixed?

I removed them and started up voice attack. Voice attack now says "Error Scanning. 12:02:44.025 Object reference not set to an instance of an object." So I should now start up Elite Dangerous and it should be fixed?
