Cecil pack causing problems.

I've downloaded and installed the new Cecil pack.

I'm now getting the error messages : Error Trigger Updater and Index was outside bounds of the array. When my number one organizes a crew Cecil is assigned a role and he acknowledges the assignment, but its showing as Tactical not set on voice attack.

I have reinstalled Dark afterwards and rerun the installer, but it hasnt fixed anything. I have also done the 'protocol override customise my settings' and manually triggered the updater to no avail.

Any ideas?

My VA is on D: drive but even amended, the instructions above made no difference. Wasted an hour. Why wasn't this tested properly before it was rolled out?

whilst your VA install might be on a different drive (mine is on C/D/F and K depending on testing version), the location where it stores its data (more specifically the *APPDATA* location in windows) is on the C drive (unless you have relocated the location of the C:\Users\<username> location

Ok. I'm on the C: drive. Moved the 2 files as requested. Started Voice attack. Still same errors. When number One organises a crew, Cecil was assigned science, which VA is saying is 'not set'.

Back in the day, I gave up on getting the original Cecil to work, and I'm not spending hours trying to fix a faulty release. Everything was fine before the new Ad-astra and Cecil update.

As I dont have Ad astra it must be the Cecil pack thats faulty. If I delete Cecil will that fix the error messages or can we have an auto update to fix this?

close VA, delete this folder C:\Users\ <username>\appdata\Roaming\VoiceAttack\HCS VoicePacks and then re-run one of your pack installers. That should then download a patch I popped in and fix the issue

When you restart Voice Attack, can you run it as Admin *just for this start up* where it would tell you that it was importing a new profile

Also: Do you have voice attack set to load a specific profile on startup? You can double check this on the VA settings -> Main tab -> Load profile on startup

I've done as you asked and downloaded the the patch. The only change is that Alix is assigned to all stations. Cecil doesn't work and the 2 error messages are still there. As for the profile all I can see is Singularity. I dont see any tabs on Voice attack. Do you mean the spanner icon?

I have same issue using Astra/Verity. Followed instructions above.

No files in "C:\Users\ <username>\appdata\Roaming\VoiceAttack\HCS VoicePacks\Custom VoiceTriggers\Auto Backup"

I have copied the new dll into VoiceAttack\Apps\HCS VoicePack Plugins Overwriting existing file

I still have the same error but it appears that my custom voice triggers are working.

Of course I'd still like to clear the error.

I have just installed the update to Cecil and am experiencing the same problems as identified already. I attempted to download the patch as indicated,. However, when you attempt to unzip the file it shows the .dll is there but when unzipped the folder is empty and win RAR errors ! as follows (name changed for post )
C:\Users\Cmdr Grumpsy\Downloads\HCSPlugin.zip: Unknown method in HCSPlugin.dll!
C:\Users\Cmdr Grumpsy\Downloads\HCSPlugin.zip: No files to extract

Its the same archive used to unzip Cecil so its not that - May I suggest you make available the replacement .dll unzipped as its so small and we can try your fix again

I've tried this today. It did download a few updates. No effect. Same two error messages and Cecil isn't recognised for any station.

I have followed all the guidance to date also when restarting VA new HCS update installed and as before resulting same the two errors and not recognised - back to the drawing board on this one.
