Customiser - am I missing something?

Hi,
I have read in several threads that customiser reads the keybindings from Elite and enters any that are missing. Mine does NOT do that, it just gives me a missing keybinds report. What am I either doing wrong or misunderstanding here please?

We care about the keyboard presses in the command, so if any of the commands are just purely a gamepad/joystick button press, then it will still be listed as a "missing keybind"

Yes, I have tried the keybind creator in customiser but it didn't add any of the missing binds. I actually gave it a whole lot of work to do by going into "elite", selecting the "empty" option in controls. Then put an R for forward only reverse. That was the only command I entered. I applied that to the game, came out of elite, started Voice Attack and I got a raft of missing keybinds in the keybind report but it did not add any to it itself. What on earth am I missing?

Running the missing keybind report will just *list* the commands that don't have a keyboard press associated with it. You will have to click the "Keybind Maker" button to open the keybind maker and then you will have to choose *the new created* HCS keybind file from the drop down list ingame
