How to re-do the update check?

Here's an issue I keep having:

I launch VA, and there is an update check for the Voice Pack, which pops up a little window. Great! There's *also* an update check by Voice Attack itself. If I click the 'Update NOW' button for the voice pack, it won't update because VA itself needs updating. Fine, so I do that.

I re-launch the updated VA, and... no sign of the voice pack's update notification. So no simple update for me?

Is there some way I can force that voice pack update check to get re-done so I can actually click the Update Now button?

It rechecks once a day, but you can also open the customiser and click the "Check updates" button, or redownload any of your voicepack installers (which will update the profile/tools as well)
