So every time I cough, VA recognizes "finished" and closes whatever I have open, despite the fact that I have removed the word "finished" from the Voice Trigger (Typing mode "ENTER"). Is the word finished used anywhere else in the trigger section?

Such a shame that noone has replied to this. It is a neverending torture, even after Odyssey. I would cough, and whoever wants to reply at that moment would say "That's already done" or a current action would be terminated, for example the Galaxy map would close right in the middle of me searching for a specific system.
I have deleted the word finished from the voice Trigger (Typing mode) - but Astra (currently Number One) still says That's already done. Where else must I turn off the "finished" trigger? I'be even told VA to ignore "finished" on a prefix basis, but still to no avail.
Please help, its slightly annoying. I dont want to use Headphones, a. I wouldnt hear the better half if she calls, and b. I prefer to use my 5.1 Logitech for music whilst gaming.
Thanks in advance

Im going to try one last time to bump this and get an answer from someone in the know. My problem still avails, and its solely the word "finished" that is recognized when I cough (obv also when I say finished). I have my confidence at 95 and my mic setting at 1.
Please, can someone give me any light on this?

Voice Attack Settings -> Recognition Tab
1) Take Command Weight Value down
2) Turn the Minimum recognised Confidence level Up
3) Enable/Disable Adaptive Recognition (restart required)
4) Enable/Disable Acoustic Echo Cancellation (restart required)
Voice Attack Settings -> Hotkeys
1) enable Voice Attack to listen when you have a keyboard/joystick button (need to enable and assign joystick here) held down
If all else fails, and VA is still mishearing you when nothing is said, then it could well be a case of training up a new speech recognition profile (Voice Attack settings -> Recognition -> Utilities -> Speech Control Panel -> Advanced Speech Options
False positives are ALWAYS going to be an issue with a hot (alway active) microphone.
Another potential solution:
Voice Attack settings -> Recognition tab -> Add word to windows speech dictionary
Add the word "finished" (no quotes, all lower case) and that could help resolve it
1) I reject your reality.... and substitute my own
2) Not to be used when upset... will void warranty
3) Stoke me a clipper i will be back for dinner
4) Never tell Gangrel to do anything... he will probably get it wrong
WARNING! Swedish wall-of-text hits you for bork-bork-bork damage!

Open VA
Watch bar at the bottom
Open Windows Control Panel/Sound/Recording
Select your microphone/Properties
Adjust level until the mike is no longer picking up background noises.
Reduce input level until it is only picking up your voice input.

Gangrel,
Thanks for taking the time to answer here. First of all, I do realize that false positives are always going to be an issue, which is one of the reasons I was trying to eliminate this specific problem.
1. Command weight is set to 0
2. Min confidence is 95, the cough is recognized as "finished" sometimes at 97, if I set it to 98, some of the other speech is not recognized.
3. to no avail as is -
4.
I thought about PTT, however, mid combat, that could prove to be an issue, and I only play PVE LOL
I will try a new speech profile, but I'd rather not. It IS tedious, like the Elite Grind, hehe
Your final solution made no difference. I can still cough and finished is recognized.
I was more intrigued at the trigger. If it hears "finished" and does an action (regardless of coughing or actually saying finished), surely there must be a way of disabling the action, ie, VA does not react to "finished".
GJ51 Thanks, but my mic is set to 1. Its not background noises that are the issue.
Bookmite, also thx for your input.

There is nothing stopping you from changing/removing the trigger in the voice trigger editor
((Voice Trigger Editor -> GUI -> Main -> Close Panel entry ))1) I reject your reality.... and substitute my own
2) Not to be used when upset... will void warranty
3) Stoke me a clipper i will be back for dinner
4) Never tell Gangrel to do anything... he will probably get it wrong
