  • Voice Attack Fonts

Hi everyone, this is my first time creating a topic here and I'm 65 years old, please be understanding with me. I have looked and looked for some where in the Voice Attack options to make the print bigger. As I get older it gets harder for me to see. I just got a new pair of glasses a few months ago. If you know where the font size can be increased, it would be awesome. Thank You

I'll be 70 in 3 months, so I can sympathize.

Unfortunately, I've never found a way to change the VA font, but here's a few things I do to make it easier to use.

I have a separate monitor for reading that is part of my desktop. Because it is lower resolution than my gaming monitor the font is enlarged a bit. Second, I had lasik done a years ago, so my distance vision is still excellent but I use reading glasses for shorter distances. Depending on how far you sit from the monitor you will need different powers of magnification to be able to read the screen clearly. I normally sit about 30" away from the screen(s) and I find that 1.5 or 1.75 magnifies work best for me. Generally the closer you sit to the screen the more magnification you will need. I read a book at +2.75 but I need less power as the distance increases.

If your new glasses aren't progressive lenses then dropping a pair of cheaters over your regular glasses will work even though it may not be ideal.

Additionally, if you have a second monitor you can right click anywhere on the background of that screen, select Display Settings and then adjust Scale and layout settings for that screen to make VA easier to read.

Most modern PC's have more than one display port available and adding a second text monitor doesn't constitute enough load to diminish gaming performance on the gaming monitor as it's a static display.

You can pick up a cheap used monitor pretty easily that will work well for this purpose.
