HCS Customizer v3.7.9 KeyBind Creator is borked

I'm trying to fix the 'WARNING you have missing keyboard binds in Elite.' issue. Every time I select the Custom keybinds profile and hit the create button, I get 'I'm looking for: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings\HCS Custom.binds' -- 'I could not find the selected control scheme in the custom binds folder.'

What the app is doing is creates a backup, adds HCS to the beginning of the backup but never actually creates the new keybind file.


It doesn't matter if VA is running as admin or not. The results are the same. I've tried telling my virus scanner to ignore both the VA folder and the bindings folder. I've verified that the permissions are not screwed up. I'm at wits end with this.

We are aware of this issue and are working on a solution for it, it should be out soon.

You can rename the .backup file to .binds though and the game will be able to pick that up and read it in the mean time.
