Warning! Low fuel!

I really like the feature that tells warns me when i am low on fuel - but how does it get it's information?
I've just returned after a break and updated everything. It all works beautifully - except for the low fuel warning.
Full tank, one jump - Warning! then every jump on a trade loop, Low fuel! It scared the bejeebers outta me the first time, and I panicked, then exploded my hauler trying to scoop fuel in a panic!
so, yeah. Is there a way to "sync" it?

The information is taken from the journal. Now, the "low fuel" is roughly based on "how many jumps can you do based on *previous jump(s)*". If it is like at 1 jump maximum, then "low fuel".

That is how it was explained to me how this feature works (I don't deal with the profile programming though, so there maybe some black magic going on there).

Thanks Gangrel. So if I wipe the contents of the journal, it should start syncing anew?

Yes, that should in theory sort it (or at least try to make it more consistent.... there are cases that can throw this a bit out of whack (being in a taxi I believe can do this)

That did the trick. I renamed the journal folder to Journal_old and restarted both VA and the game client.
Did a couple of jumps and it now records fuel use correctly, with no warnings. Did a few more to use up some fuels, and there's the warning. refueled - no more warning.
