After having used it for quite a while, I recently bought Gravity for Elite Dangerous. I also downloaded and installed updates for the 3 voice packs I own.
Everything seemed to work fine for several hours in-game - and then suddenly I noticed that the little VA window (where all start-up messages are displayed when the app is launched, which I keep open on a separate monitor) was not updating. Whatever text was there, stayed visible. VA continued to work - commands were acknowledged and performed, responses given, etc - but the window would not update. Even the 'Close' button in the top-right corner of the title-bar was unresponsive. The app appears to have crashed, but it has not.
The weird part is that if I hover my mouse over the window, whatever message happens to appear under my pointer shows up in the little pop-up that always appears when you hover over the window. These messages appear to update as new messages 'appear' at the top of the window - they're just not visible. The VA icon in the notification area on the taskbar is still responsive and appears to work properly - I can close VA, for example. The rest of VA appears to function as it should. Even the buttons to edit profiles and for options still work - I just can't see them; the window area itself is completely black.
I have tried running VA both as an Administrator, with all plugins disabled and switching to other profiles, but this does not help. I have also verified the app files from within Steam. The Ctrl-Shift-Alt-Enter key combination does nothing, but almost everything else about the app still appears to work as it should (except for the aforementioned window, of course).
I've also done a *complete* uninstall / reinstall of VA and all the voice packs but this also did not help. DSIM and SFC report no errors.

This window is important to me as I like to keep watch on what it says about my game and the recognition of my commands.
A VA developer has tried his best to help me, but in the end could suggest only reinstalling Windows. I think that's a bit extreme, and due to the fact that he could not point to anything specific about Windows being at fault, I'm not ready to do that; there's no guarantee that it will solve the problem. Suggestions?
