Automatically plotting route not working... not because of grid or ui/galmap keys

Gangrel , I was able to identify that my UI Select and UI Focus used the same key, but this has not resolved the mission course mapping.

OK, we have tested and found that this can be an issue. Looking at solutions (as we are pretty damn certain that we had tested this *repeatedly* before we pushed out the Christmas update (which fixed the normal plotting).

Will have to look more into this.
In the most recent profile update (which we released just before christmas) we did fix a couple of bugs with the route plotting (This was down to the additional right hand side button in the Live client being added).
So, just to confirm a few details:
The route plotting *for missions* will work just fine once or twice in a single session but then fail *at a random point* later on?
Is that correct?
Or is mission route plotting *ALWAYS* failling in your session (so from the first time you use it, until the very end)?
Does this happen in NON VR as well, or is it just a bug that is exclusive to when you play in VR?
What is your UI select set to in game? Have you tried changing it to a different key (I use space for mine). Don't forget to restart VA / swap VA profiles to ensure we are reading in the correct bindings.

Will look into that.
This only plots to the *most recent* mission in your list; and you *HAVE* to be in the system that has the mission when you give the command.
And if you are trying to do a mission that is futher down the list, then this will fail.
(And depending on the mission, this may be the start / station or planetary surface settlement).
But a video or more description would be useful. When you say "Seems to try to move around" what *Exactly* is happening.

Well, I may have spoken too soon sadly. It looks like galaxy map route plotting is working, but plotting within the system map still does not? Having trouble with "locate my mission target." Seems to try to move around, but doesn't actually find and set the location.

Hah!! You guys fixed it I see! OMG, it's so satisfying to see the route plotting working again!
-
Ah, I see, that makes total sense, thank you for that explanation. And yup, sure enough, "I've changed my mind" worked. Awesome, thanks!

We are aware of the route plotting (and yes, it is because of that extra button).
For the "End NPC Conversation":
Looking at the voice trigger editor: NPC End Conversation
The following lines will trigger this command:
actually i'm not interested thank you
actually i'm not interested
i'm not interested thank you
i'm not interested
i've changed my mind.
"No Thanks" is for a different set of commands.
Yes, this is confusing, but it is partly down to how the profile is put together. Because Voice Attack *itself* only allows for "one trigger" to be used uniquely among commands (so if you use "Yes please" somewhere, then the only way in which you can use "Yes please" in another command, is if it is *part* of a different phrase (for example "Yes please computer".
(Note: now there are *some* methods to get around this, but they have their own limitation. One of which is a function in voice attack to "extract" part of a command to be referenced elsewhere. Now this is meant to be used *purely* for single (or fixed number of words) words. But as our voice trigger allows you to have something like:
Yes please, Yes, Yes please mother, Oui s'il vous plait, danke ... you may notice that it becomes *impossible* to use that method.
Now, looping back around to the voice triggers: There *are* potential work arounds, but they drastically increase profile complexity for when you want to use commands in different situations (ie: if a command is meant to be used on foot / in ship / on ship menus, the only real thing that we can check is the "on foot / in ship" status (ship menus are doable ish... we know that you are looking at a panel, but not *WHAT* tab panel you are looking at necessarily)
So this is why we break apart to different variations. Its easier to code for, give flexibility for the voice triggers. Down side is that you have to remember two different triggers for "similar actions". So whilst you (and other human beings... and some animals) can understand what is meant by "no thanks" due to context of the situation at hand... it isn't as always easy to code for (because whilst might go "But no thanks just means 'Cancel the action' that the pack wants to do (ie an invoke action)"; it could also be "Cancel the current ingame text box". Different actions that are taken in the chain of different running commands.

Heya, thanks for your quick response! Ok cool, I kinda figured.
Yeah, I figured out today that I was confused, and was trying to put a bookmark coordinate into the "home" field. Even despite that, I think that both are still broken though.
It looks like the thargoid system dispostion button is where the plot route button used to be, so now "plot route home" is clicking that instead. I made a quick video of it here:
https://youtu.be/mAg-ncS-9YA
Also, the bookmarks don't actually seem to be stepping through the different sections, despite using the x,x format for the bookmarks:
https://youtu.be/jFos90kxzOk
Also, the "no thanks" command to end conversations with NPC station on foot quest givers doesn't seem to work, though all other responses do.
about that, voice attack console reports:
"3:30:41.688 Command 'no thanks' is currently disabled for this session and was not executed.
3:30:41.686 Recognized : 'no thanks'"
But, you probably know all this. Just wanted to show, just in case.
Thanks for all you guys do, love using these packs with the game generally, especially in VR!

We are working on getting a fix out for the route plotting in Odyssey / Horizons in general (as the U14 update broke some stuff for us). ETA: Soon (we have other stuff that we need to fix as well in the profile), but its getting there. Hopefully this side of Christmas (but may be a bit later)

Automatically plotting route not working... not because of grid or ui/galmap keys
Hello! New to the forum and game. I do want to say first that I have done some google searches on this first, and I DO have gridlines in the galaxy map turned on, and I do have different keys set for manipulating the UI, vs translating the galaxy map.
But, whenever I try to do a route plotting command, it isn't working as of today, when I installed Odessey (It was working before, under Horizons.) I did upgrade my voicepack, and I downloaded and installed Gravity. I have functioning on foot voice commands working.
What I think is the problem, is that the game seems to have changed the location of where the plot route button is, from where it used to be. I am not sure if this is an Odessey thing, or just an overall update that maybe just recently happened to the game?
Anyway, the hcs voicepack is able to successfully retrieve my destination from clip board, type it in, find it, translate over to it, and select the system. What looks like is happening after that though, is it looks like it starts bouncing around up and down on the column of of galmap controls on the left side of the screen, instead of getting over to the right side of the screen, the system column, where the plot route button now is. The other day, when I only had horizons, when I would select a system, the plot route button was just right there immediately. It looks like it's gotten moved around in the game now to somewhere else, and voicepacks no longer knows how to get to its new place.
Or maybe I'm just a complete noob and am really really screwing something up... XD But in any case, can anyone please help?Tags: None
