problem with keybind creator

Got it working ok. Fired up ED and changed the setting (without VA running) then applied it.
Exited ED and ran VA then loaded up ED again. Checked and setting stayed to what I set.
I exited ED again (as VA keybind creator will not run and save if ED is running).
Used the keybind creator with the custom 4.1 profile and saved. Then checked for any missing keybinds or conflicts.
There were, none, everything working fine.

If it is being reverted *even after* you have changed it ingame (without VA running), then that is an ED issue.

I too am having an issue. I think it maybe keybind creator.
I have ED Odyssey . Voiceattack+HCS voice packs Astra 2.0 Remastered+Gravity with a T Flight HOTAS X.
I have set up everything and works fine except for 1 conflicting bind which is as follows:-
Keyboard bind missing in Elite: Elite keybind not setup: Galaxy Map:Galaxy cam yaw right cannot be the same as Interface mode: Next panel tab if you want full route plotting to work.
The keyboard key in question is 'E'. I have tried rebinding this to something else many times and then using VA keybind creator then saving it.
But when I run ED and go to control settings the settings change that I made is gone and replaced by original bind 'E'
I'ts as if it's hard coded. Is there anything I can do to fix this ? I'd really like to be able to use full route plotting.

I thought that you had this answered on the discord (someone actually asked a short period after this post about the exact same thing).

Select the main control schemes you want to use in game (ie x52, xbox etc etc).
Horizons 3, Odyssey is 4 sections
Make an edit to each one so the top box now says 'custom' for all of them. Customise as necessary (or all 4 sections in Odyssey) as you see fit as long as you've made a change in each one. This merges all your choices. Close the game.
Go to the keybind creator in the singularity Odyssey profile.
Select the handy new 'custom' option bottom right then click create
Answer the next question with a yes, and it will automatically select ALL 4 sections and out your shiny new HCS Custom file in all 4. (check manually if you want)
Fire up the game.

The way it is implemented, if you have different files for each section, it confuses the keybind reader as unfortunately, all files contain ALL binds, not just the ones for that section.
You may have to restart VA / swap VA profiles for the changes to be picked up.

This error message can also appear if you are running Voice Attack with admin permissions AND your admin account is a separate user to the normal account that you log into Windows with.

returning to edho, using VA and the packs i find that i can not create keybinds using the keybind creator.
the creator has no options.
have changes been made to it, like been disabled?
if not can anyone help me with this problem.
