  • "Failed to find semantic" in X52 bind profiles

    Hi Guys,

I'm trying to add the X52 Bind profile into the game, but the error log is displaying the below (Not that the normal K+M bindings seem to show up and work)

There where errors when loading preset file: HCSPacks X52.binds
    Failed to find semantic: MouseReset
    Failed to find semantic: TargetWingman0
    Failed to find semantic: TargetWingman1
    Failed to find semantic: TargetWingman2
    Failed to find semantic: SelectTargetsTarget
    Failed to find semantic: WingNavLock
    Failed to find semantic: TargetNextRouteSystem
    Failed to find semantic: RadarRangeAxis
    Failed to find semantic: PhotoCameraToggle
    Failed to find semantic: FocusOnTextEntryField
    Failed to find semantic: SystemMapOpen
    Failed to find semantic: HeadlookIncrement
    Failed to find semantic: HeadlookResetOnToggle
    Failed to find semantic: HeadlookSensitivity

Does anyone please have a working X52 set-up / know a quick fix to this problem other than finding the offending lines and adding / editing them manually?! :S

    Thanks!

Ugh! That's disgusting Best thing to do, choose your control device in game fresh - Then match up the keybindings from the video in tutorials - takes 10 or 15 minutes.

Hopefully someone who has knowledge of this will be along shortly.

What happened is that the profile that came supplied with the voice pack is now out of date. I am talking to the guy who made them to see what the state of play with updating them is.

The "fastest" method would be to rename the binds file to something else, and to then restart from scratch really.

The keybinds that our profiles use as "standard" are as follows

        Action Keybind
        0% Engines X
        100% Engines (Reverse) NumPad Subtract
        100% Engines (Forward) NumPad Add
        25% Engines (Reverse) NumPad 7
        25% Engines (Forward) NumPad 1
        50% Engines (Reverse) NumPad 8
        50% Engines (Forward) NumPad 2
        75% Engines (Reverse) NumPad 9
        75% Engines (Forward) NumPad 3
        Afterburners Tab
        Balance Power Down Arrow
        Cargo Scoop Home
        Chaff C
        Comms Panel 2
        Cycle Next Hostile Ship H
        Cycle Next Ship G
        Cycle Next Subsystem I
        Cycle Previous Hostile Ship N
        Cycle Previous Ship B
        Cycle Previous Subsystem K
        Decrease Sensor Range Page Down
        Emergency Stop J
        External Camera F1
        Flight Assist Z
        Galaxy Map /
        Hard Points U
        Heatsink V
        Increase Sensor Range Page Up
        Jump Drive J
        Landing Gear L
        Lights Insert
        Look Ahead 2
        Next Fire Group . (fullstop)
        Next System In Route M
        Power To Engines Up Arrow
        Power To Systems Left Arrow
        Power To Weapons Right Arrow
        Previous Fire Group , (comma)
        Radar 3
        Select Highest Threat Y
        Select Target Ahead T
        Shield Cell #
        Silent Running Delete
        Supercruise Numpad Divide
        System Map ;
        Wingman 1 8
        Wingman 2 9
        Wingman 3 0
        Wingman NavLock Right Shift
        Wingmans Target Right Ctrl

I hope that helps you out.

Ah ok I'll leave it to the official version then . Selecting X52 and adding the list that Gangrel provided only took 20 mins or so. Job done. Thanks guys

The plus side of doing it this way, is that if buy a new voice pack, when you install it the profile is *already* ready to go once you load it up into voice attack.

We aim to keep the keybindings the same across all the profiles.

I may be being dumb here, but once our systems are set up and the relevant keys bound, how does one create a new 'bind' file to possibly share with others who have similar gear? I can't see any way to 'save' the file and in ED it just shows up as 'custom'.

Nope, just me making an assumption that I could export it and be helpful. Seemingly not able

Oh well, hopefully this thread itself will be help enough

Hey Red the blinding files are store in the following folder C;\user\usernamer\AppData\Local\frontierDevelopmen ts\EliteDangerours\options\bindings

and it will be called Custom.binds

Doh! Told you I was being dumb. All I have to do then is change the name of the file to something like Saitek Cessna, and it should show up in the ED binding options.
                        Cheers Paul
