Z voice pack missing full house profiles

1. Just purchased the Z voice pack and the full house profiles for basic and beta are missing.

2. All the included .vap files in the standard profiles and addons directory are not going to work in the Z voice so why include them and make it more confusing? Unless you forgot to include the appropriate directories and voice files for those too.

3. Why is the Submitted Profiles directory empty?

1. They're not missing, Z doesn't have a full house.
2. Perhaps they should not be there - although we might add stuff for those in the future.
3. Nobody has submitted any profiles that are appropriate - someday they might, it's early days, we've only been doing this since December

We are updating "minor" things in the coming days (before Wednesday) - Meantime if you have any suggestions, let us know... I'll see what we can sort out.

I got full house when I purchased Astra and Dark. I saw no reason to doubt I would get them with Z Why was this not mentioned for Z? Seems like you pulled a fast one.

Okay - Firstly "pulling a fast one". Alright, alright Well, here's the thing... I make each pack with a view of giving value. All packs are a standard set of command responses well worth the price tag alone (1000 plus sound files for responding to you). There are other packs that contain lot's more, with no "increase" of price. All packs also get free updates. They also reflect what are contained in them on the sales page. Frankly, "the packs are worth every penny and more" - Words from the community. But! I listen carefully to all and value what you're saying and yes, there's less in that pack in terms of extra phrases, flavoured stuff - That's why we give FREE updates and no doubt (promise) this pack will have more in future, that's the plan. If it were Terry Tibbs in charge..... well

Having said that, I constantly review and make consideration for value - I still see terrific value across the board, some have so much extra in that you get a whole lot more in, however, my belief is that making them all the same price and allowing people to "choose" is key.

getting back to "pulling a fast one" - If we were doing that, I can assure you the Norman Lovett pack "Leo" would be more than £5.99 - It isn't. And it's not what we do. Value is what we bring, in every pack.

ASTRA originally released with far less content as she has now. We still charge the same amount of money.

If/when we do release additional content for packs we will never charge you again for it as long as bought the voice pack at some point in the past.

So if we added AI/Constellations/Ship descriptions to LEO, everyone who owns Leo would get the updated stuff for free. No additional cost for it. The same goes for all of our packs (personal pack excluded for now).

For us, we feel that if it DOESN'T include Galaxapedia/quantum mechanics/ship descriptions/AI responses/commodities/anything else beyond the "bare minimums" then we won't say that it doesn't include them

We never said that the other stuff would be included (or that it wouldn't be included).

We just said that it was the voice pack. It was you who made the assumption of what else would be included.

Leo, Ze, Mars and Legend all have the same amount of commands (give or take 50ish at most, and most of those are more "apt" responses). And if you notice, they all just say "commands". No mention of the galaxapedia/quantum theory/etc etc either.

Dark and Venus were both the same state at release as Leo/Ze/Mars and Legend. Basically the bare bones. And once again, in that state, we never said anything about the quantum theory/ship descriptions/whatever. When they get more stuff added (ie the more descriptive additions) then we make mention of those.

And we charged the same amount for them as we did with ASTRA.

Yes, they have had more stuff added to them and we still charge the same price (and if you already own the pack, the extra stuff is free).

So are we scared that they won't sell? Not really. They did sell... even for the same price as ASTRA (which if you really want to think about it, we could actually charge more for... she does have the most amount of commands)

Well I for one don't feel I have had a 'fast one' pulled on me, and I have been around gaming for a long, long time!
When I first encountered the voice-packs my original thought was 'they can't be much good if they are so cheap' but I guessed it was worth the punt and not much lost if no good. My experience of voice control so far has been disappointing to say the least. However, I did have a punt and I have to say I was stunned, yes stunned, at the value. I couldn't believe there was so much in it for the money. When compared with other offerings in this digital world, I have paid a lot more for items that have been worth a lot less and turned out to be a rip off. Not this time.
My own view is that this software has a lot of potential. I can see it, others can see it and the amount and content of 'updates' I have received so far means the value has been greatly enhanced and all for free! As a result of Paul's support and attitude to his customers I will be here for the long haul. Paul has created a stunning piece of work that has already grown beyond my expectations in the few months I have owned it. The fact that one or two packs are a little bit 'leaner' than others does not bother me at all because they are still worth the asking price. The fact that other packs are 'bigger' is a bonus. As in all walks of life you can please some of the people some of the time etc. It seems to me that these days people want something for nothing and are quick to criticise if they feel hard done by. Even after a full explanation of what and why, so rare these days with many software vendors, some people are never satisfied. If that's the case they should ask for a refund and try to find something similar for a similar price elsewhere.

Feel free to start a POLL about value and the packs, it might be interesting to see what the "many" think - If the consensus on value is in question then I will change price of course, add some more value (on top of free updates, profile updates, extra content and the other stuff . Is that fair? But it has to be a consensus. No disrespect, out of tens of thousands of customers, there's so far just you saying this.

However, I can't ignore it and won't. It might be a good idea to see. What do you think, is that fair?

Most of our packages would be viewed in your eyes as "Stripped down". I believe that only ASTRA would fulfill your requirements. What is it specifically that you are missing from Z that ASTRA has?

I only ask about ASTRA because she is the only package that comes "with everything"[1]
