Had a couple of chances to use the most recent update to ASTRA and it does seem to be problematic. I'm making sure to start Voice Attack before launching the game, but it's having a lot of trouble with undocking/exiting supercruise/etc.

Voice Attack is recognizing the commands, but there's no feedback or anything.

Double check your keybinds, and if need be this guide on how to use the bind reading plugin

The command that you would need to edit in the ASTRA profile is the "Import my binds; Import my bindings;Import my control settings" under the .Profile Startup. category

Yeah I've already done that.

Had absolutely no problems with launch commands/exiting supercruise and the like before the newest version.

EDIT: Hmm, OK saying the plugin is unavailable... will report back after getting it installed and possibly setup.

EDIT 2: Right so I didn't have plugins enabled which was stopping it from accessing the Journal feature.

OK so things seem to mostly be working... however I can't get ASTRA to retract landing gear. It gets to Plugin Command: 'Undocked' then Pause for 15 Seconds... however my attempts at "Retract Landing Gear" bring up a red light and 5:14:48 PM - Command canceled: Another command is not allowing others to execute.

I guess uninstalling plugins and hcs voicepack from the control panel - programs and features along with Voice Attack itself and then deleting VoiceAattack folder from Program Files (x86) and then installing the latest beta of VoiceAttack 1.6.1.27 with enabling plugin support option it it along with the latest plugins and latest Astra version will solve all of your problems. Also be sure to say "import my bindings" before launching Elite.
That way you have done a complete and clean install of all the required programs and your Astra will be brand new and fully operational.

We have discovered an issue which causes things not to run for 15s after undocking and you have invoke on. Please import the attached .vap into Astra or Astra full house to correct the problem. Select yes to override the existing command. As always, if you have made any customisations to the profile then please make a backup of your profile first.

Are you referring to the Astra undock fix.vap TheThingIs provided in the post above?
If yes then I have to say that I downloaded it without a problem and already imported into my Astra profile so it works without a glitch. Not sure what's causing your inability to download it tho..

I was having problems with commands no being recognized but this fixed everything.

Took a couple of goes to get it installed properly, but that has fixed the issue.
